Long Branch Run Club is a group of residents in Long Branch Maryland that organize weekly runs for runners of all levels from La Finca Coffee Shop. Whether you are getting ready for the Long Branch 5K, another run, or just looking for a way to spend time with friends and get out into the community with a world-class cup of coffee at the end, come join us!

Our Community
How it works
Step 1) Meet up at the meet-up location atleast 10 minutes before the run start time on the day of the Run.
Step 2) Fellow Runners / Walkers can either:
- Join one of the runs led by an organizer. We will share the “organized” run in advance by way of Instagram or our email list serve.
- Do your own run/walk!
Step 3) Once back at the meet-up location, hang out with co-runners/walkers, grab a coffee or other beverage and treat, and enjoy!
Our Meetup Locations
UPDATE! We are pushing back our meetup time for the fall and winter months. We will meet every Sunday at La Finca Coffee Shop at 8:30AM – 8:45AM for a 9:00AM Run/walk. La Finca is located at 8807 Flower Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, 20901.

We are exploring adding another weekly run from El Gavilan! If you are interested in a weekend evening run on Wednesday or Thursday, let us know!
As with La Finca, El Gavilan would love to support the Run Club and serve up a custom cocktails and cervesas at a discount for Long Branch Run Club participants!
Meet Our Organizers
Meet the people who keep our runs welcoming, organized, and fun.
Jacob Gray
Jacob (and family) have been a Long Branch residents since 2020 after returning from Honduras where he worked with USAID. Jacob runs a couple of times a week, mostly 3-5 mile runs as a way to get out and enjoy the natural beauty of Long Branch. When he can, he loves runs on wilderness trails.
Jennifer Arrigo
Jennifer and family became Long Branch residents in January 2026 but have lived in the Silver Spring / Takoma Park area since 2014. She has run on and off for 20 years, mostly casual 5ks and enjoys the social and health aspects. She’s especially interested in encouraging people just getting started or coming back after injuries – she’s done both many times!
Stone Irr
Stone is a Midwest native and has been in the Long Branch area for just over 1 year after relocating from Los Angeles. An avid runner, you can find Stone out on the Sligo Creek Trail either on a run or walking his pup, River.
